Our Story

Bringing the finest South American wines to Europe since 2003

Vinoscoop Exports has partnered since 2003 with over a dozen of boutique wineries in South-America.

Koen Batsleer, the founding partner at Vinoscoop Exports, has lived from 2001 till 2005 in Chile.  He became passionate about the country and it’s wines and decided to start up a small scale importing company in Belgium for Chilean wines, called Chileboutique. In 2004 our first container with wines from 3 Chilean producers reached the Belgian harbour. The wines soon found their way to a wide variety of clients.

A logic next step was taken in 2007, incorporating the first Argentinean winery from Mendoza in our portfolio. 2008 marked a next milestone, the company moved to a new location with larger storage capacity and more modern logistic facilities. In this year, Koen’s brother Bart joined the company to reinforce administration and logistics.

In the years to follow sales expanded quickly and the search for diversity in wine regions throughout Chile and Argentina lead us to imports of wine from 20+ wineries spread over the most renowned wine producing areas.

From 2013 onwards the company starts forming strategic alliances with wineries to facilitate exports to European markets through the Belgian HUB.

This leads to the need of a larger and more professional warehouse. In 2017 the construction of Vinoscoop starts and is fully operational by the beginning of 2019.  The brand new facility and continuing expansion with new partners ensure our aim to become the most important European HUB for South American wines. With an unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability, Vinoscoop will continue to grow its network of boutique wineries and expand its reach across Europe. The goal is to further promote the rich diversity of South American wines and establish Vinoscoop as a leading player in the European wine industry, shaping the future of wine distribution with a focus on excellence and authenticity.
